The 8th Nepal Vitreo Retina Society (NVRS) Annual Conference was successfully held on January 3–4, 2025, at Hotel Soaltee, Kathmandu. The event commenced with the NVRS annual meeting, where a new executive committee was formed, reappointing Dr. Sanyam Bajimaya as president for his second tenure.

Prof. Dr. Rajvardan Azad (India) delivered the prestigious Prof. O.K. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Govinda Paudyal received the NVRS Lifetime Achievement Award for his unwavering dedication to advancing retinal care in Nepal and his significant contributions to patients suffering from retinal diseases.

The conference featured two instructional courses: one on subthreshold laser, led by chief instructor Dr. Ajay Arora (India), and another on OCT and OCT Angiography, conducted by chief instructor Dr. Sanyam Bajimaya.

Beyond engaging discussions on retina and uvea, two special sessions were held—one by the Pakistan Vitreo-Retina Society, focusing on scleral buckling, and another by the Asia Pacific Ocular Trauma Society, during which the establishment of the Nepalese Ocular Trauma Society was officially announced.
